Ask for the Product
Clear Fork carries a much broader stone and landscape catalog. Loose bulk delivery is the core service; larger stone or hardscape orders can be quoted by weight, dimensions and loading method.
Typical Material Weight
Approximate tons per cubic yard.
Bulk material is commonly sold by the cubic yard, but hauling capacity is controlled by weight. These planning figures are averages; actual weight changes with moisture, particle size, compaction and the exact product.
≈ 1.38 tons/yd³
About 2,750 lb per cubic yard. A typical gravel yard often falls roughly between 2,400 and 2,900 lb.
≈ 1.20 tons/yd³
About 2,400 lb per cubic yard for practical crushed-limestone/base planning.
≈ 1.30 tons/yd³
About 2,600 lb per cubic yard. Wet sand can be substantially heavier than the planning number.
≈ 1.15 tons/yd³
About 2,300 lb per cubic yard as a general fill-dirt planning average.
≈ 1.20 tons/yd³
About 2,400 lb per cubic yard for sandy-loam type topsoil; wet soil can weigh considerably more.
≈ 0.30 tons/yd³
About 600 lb per cubic yard for dry wood mulch. Moisture can push hardwood mulch much higher.
≈ 0.65 tons/yd³
About 1,300 lb per cubic yard as a midpoint estimate. Compost varies widely by blend and moisture.
Convert yards to tons
Choose a material and enter project dimensions to estimate cubic yards, pounds and tons.
We confirm the trip count
Planning weights help estimate how many delivery loads a project may require. The final quote confirms the expected number of trips for the exact material.
How We Quote
Delivered price depends on the product and the haul.
The delivered cost is driven by material price, quantity, source location, haul distance and access at the property or jobsite. The minimum hauling/delivery charge is $150.
Same-day delivery is available when the requested material is in stock and the yard can load the run before its daily cutoff. Card payment is accepted.
