Material Delivery Guide
Plan the dump location, route and access before gravel, dirt, road base, sand, mulch or other bulk material is dispatched. Room, overhead clearance and ground conditions all affect where a load can be safely delivered.
Site Preparation
A good delivery starts before the load arrives.
A loaded dump trailer needs more room and firmer ground than a passenger vehicle. Review the route from the street to the requested drop point before scheduling.
Check the route
Look for narrow gates, parked vehicles, tight turns, steep grades, soft shoulders and low branches.
Look overhead
A dump trailer rises substantially while unloading. Power lines, tree limbs, carports and structures above the dump point are critical.
Mark the spot
Cones, stakes or a clear photo make the requested drop location easier to understand before arrival.
Planning the Load
Different materials call for different load plans.
Project volume tells us how much material you need. Material type, moisture and source determine how that quantity is divided into delivery loads. We confirm the expected load count before dispatch.
Gravel & Road Base
Dense aggregate
Stone and base material are heavy, so larger driveway, pad and drainage projects may be split into multiple loads.
Dirt & Sand
Product and moisture matter
Fill dirt, topsoil and sand vary in weight. Give us the project dimensions or requested quantity for an accurate delivery plan.
Mulch & Compost
Volume-driven orders
Lighter landscape products are commonly planned by cubic yards. Use the calculator for a starting estimate.
Driver Judgment
Requested location does not override safety.
The final decision on where the vehicle can safely travel and dump belongs to the driver at the site. Soft ground, overhead hazards, insufficient room or unstable surfaces can require a different drop point.
When in doubt, text photos before the delivery is dispatched.
Timing
Same-day is possible while another load can still be picked up.
Delivery scheduling starts at 9:00 AM. The practical end of the day is the latest time the requested material can still be sourced, loaded and dispatched before the supplier's cutoff. That varies by material, route and current workload, so same-day orders should be placed as early as possible.
Monday–Friday
From 9 AM
Deliveries continue while the source yard can still load the requested product. The same-day cutoff varies.
Saturday
From 9 AM
Saturday has a much shorter supplier window, so call early if you want a same-day load.
Sunday
Closed
Regular material runs are not scheduled Sunday.
